Envirosystems is a full service, modern analytical laboratory, certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) with multiple state-of-the-art analytical instruments and degreed (B.S. through Ph.D.), experienced (2-30 years) chemists and specialists that offer quality analytical services on a timely, cost-effective basis, and a data package legally defensible in a court of law. We have been providing for more than twelve years analytical services to US EPA under their Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) for Superfund. Envirosystems has been providing special, non-routine analytical services to US EPA regions and their Prime Contractors directly under Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA) /Blanket Purchase Orders (BPO), or on an as-needed basis by quotation. We have extensive experience in the CLP Protocols since the inception of the Superfund Analytical Services CLP Program and are experienced in Methods SW-846, TCLP/ZHE, EPA600 and 500 Series, and other regulatory agencies approved methodologies.

Envirosystems has been certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (currently awaiting re-certification), Missouri River Division, Omaha District (USACE/MRD/HTRW) for a variety of organic, inorganic, explosives and wet chemistry parameters for hazardous waste (water/waste water and soil/sediment) samples using SW-846 methods. Some of the major parameters for which the laboratory has been US ACE, MRD certified are: Volatiles, Semivolatiles, Pesticides/PCBs, Herbicides, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, GRO/DRO, Polynulcear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) , Explosives, Anions, Target Analyte list, (TAL) Metals and Cyanide.

Envirosystems is a minority-owned, small business enterprise (MBE) under the U.S. Small Business Administration Program. We are also a certified MBE/DBE in the States of Maryland as well as in Baltimore City, Howard, Prince George and Montgomery Counties, and with several agencies such as the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA). Envirosystems is fully certified for environmental analyses in the States of Maryland. Envirosystems has a Permit to Move Soil from outside the United States from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The laboratory analyzes routine and non-routine special parameters in complex and diverse matrices and is experienced in the environmental data evaluation/validation/ interpretation, project specific quality assurance/quality control plan, water quality/wet chemistry studies, interdisciplinary research, analytical method development/ modifications, analytical program management, and characterization of point and non-point diffused source pollution.

Envirosystems' modern 8,000 square foot laboratory facility has 2 Hewlett-Packard 5973 GC/MS/DS instruments and 4 Finnigan 5100 GC/MS/DS units, 4 Hewlett-Packard GC/EC units fully automated with a variety of detectors (ECD, FID, NPD, and Hall), 2 ABC Gel Permination Chromotographs (GPC) fully automated with UV-detectors and a range of other instruments (IR, UV-VIS, IC, TCLP/ZHE, TOX, TOC, etc.) for volume work in the organic, inorganic, and wet chemistry fields. The laboratory also has a fully automatic high-pressure liquid chromatograph (HPLC) with UV and Fluorescence detectors for the analysis of explosives and PAHÕs. The laboratory has an ARL 3560 ICP-ES with ultrasonic nebulizer, and 1 Varian and 2 Perkin Elmer Atomic Absorption units fully automated with flame and graphite furnace for trace metals analysis. The laboratory has a Dionex ion chromatograph, an UV-VIS Spectrophotometers, an FTIR Spectrophotometer along with TOC, and TOX Analyzer for water quality wet chemistry projects. Laboratory has various specific ion electrodes and other electroanalytical instruments. Microbiological testing for coliform and fecal coliforms for water and waste water samples are also performed routinely. Laboratory has two Heat systems, W-375 Sonicators/Cell Disrupters for soil extractions, and 25-40 each, of automatic liquid-liquid extractors, soxhlets extractors, and separatory funnels for water sample extraction.

Envirosystems routinely provides electronic data deliverables to meet the clients varied demands. Hard copy data package is provided in the CLP format for the parameters under the CLP program (VOA, SVOA, Pesticides/PCBs and TAL metals) and in a CLP like data packages for other parameters. Laboratory has consistently provided high quality documented data along with Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) under CLP program within the contract required turn around time of 21, 14, and 7 day and results only within 48 and 72 hours on request. Envirosystems, has Quality Assurance ManagementÕs Plan (QAM) and standard operating procedure (SOP) for both US EPA CLP and US ACE Analytical Programs which has been reviewed and approved by them for their programs.
